PURPOSE: A device and method for managing the power of a fuel cell vehicle are provided to improve the fuel efficiency of a fuel cell vehicle by extending the stop time of a fuel cell system when the ignition of the fuel cell vehicle is switched off. CONSTITUTION: A stack(10) generates power by an electric chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. A blower(20) supplies air to the cathode of the stack. An auxiliary power device supplies power to a load if the voltage charged in the stack is discharged when the fuel cell system stops. A switch unit is switched by the charging and discharging of the auxiliary power device. A controller controls the charging current of the auxiliary power device below a reference value.
