PURPOSE: A control method for an oven is provided to allow a user to recognize the time up to the completion of preheating in a preheating mode by displaying the remaining time to the fixed preheat temperature. CONSTITUTION: A control method for an oven is as follows. The setting of preheat temperature in a preheating mode is determined(S10). The temperature of an oven cavity is measured(S20). The remaining time is calculated by comparing the cavity temperature and the set preheat temperature(S30). The remaining time is displayed as being counted(S40).
