PURPOSE: An air conditioning system for a vehicle is provided to remove moisture from the inside of a vehicle if an air conditioning device operates longer than a predetermined time in a cooling mode. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning system for a vehicle comprises a velocity sensor(110), a gyro sensor(120), an ignition key sensor(130), an air conditioning unit(150), and a navigation device(140). The velocity sensor senses the velocity of a vehicle and outputs the velocity information of the vehicle. The gyro sensor senses the moving direction of the vehicle and outputs information on the moving direction. The ignition key sensor senses the on or off state of the ignition key of the vehicle and outputs an ignition on or off signal depending on the sensed result. The air conditioning unit operates in one of a cooling mode, a heating mode and a ventilating mode according to user's input.
