PURPOSE: A torque-split auto-transmission is provided to enable downsizing and the reduction of transfer capacity by decreasing power and torque transferred to an oscillator and a transmission unit by transferring rotating power from the engine to two paths. CONSTITUTION: A torque-split auto-transmission comprises an oscillator(2), a transmission unit, and a torque adding unit(6). The oscillator receives some of rotating power from the engine and converts torque according to the converting ratio of torque. The oscillator consists of a torque converter(T/C), which outputs through a second power transfer shaft(22). The oscillator is arranged on the rear of the second power transfer shaft, which is connected to a turbine operating as an output element. The transmission unit consists of a combination of first and second sets of single pinion planetary gears(PG1, PG2). The transmission unit consists of a multi-stage transmission, which receives rotating power from the oscillator and converts torque. The torque adding unit receives, adds and outputs rotating power form the oscillator and the transmission unit.
