<p>Contaminated fluid including solid material is moved by a pump with a housing, a rotatable pump wheel with at least one blade and a pump wheel seat containing at least one recess in its upper surface. A pushing and cutting effect occurs between a cutting edge in the recess and a lower edge of the blade when the pump wheel rotates relatively to the pump wheel seat. The pump has a device for guiding solid material toward the recess and which includes at least one guide pin and at least one projection. The upper surface of the guide pin extends from a position in the immediate vicinity of the innermost part of the pump wheel blade toward the pump wheel seat and the projection extends outwards from the pump wheel seat.</p> |
