The invention relates to an auxiliary braking device intended for emergency braking and for extending traction on difficult grounds. According to the invention, the device comprises a rigid metal framework (1) provided, at each of its extremities with a metal frame (14) wherein a pneumatic cylinder (12) slides, which is fixed onto a vehicle undercarriage by means of a fastening support (15), at the top part of the pneumatic cylinder (12) there being mounted a pneumatic piston (11) which is also fixed on the said undercarriage by a fastening support (9) and a screw (10), the pneumatic cylinders (12) being pressure supplied through some supply hoses (13) sliding within the metal frame (14) by means of some sliding rollers (18), where on the rigid metal framework (1) there is mounted a running gear consisting of a main shaft (6) on which there is a transmission pinion (7), some grooved shafts (3), an adherent tread (4) and a transmission belt for transmitting motion to the adherent tread (4) placed in the rear part, while, on the main shaft (6) placed in the front part, there are located an equipment (5) for the transmission of traction motion and an ABS-type braking equipment (2). |
