Provided is a liquid detergent composition for automatic dishwashing machines which comprises: (A) a non-crosslinked polycarboxylic acid or a salt thereof; (B) sorbitol; (C) one or more members selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, glycerol, glucose, mannitol and an alkyl glucoside; and (D) an enzyme; wherein, relative to the total mass of the composition, the amount of (A) is 4 to 20 mass%; the amount of (B)+(C) is 25 to 70 mass %; and the ratio by mass of (B)/(C) ranges from 2 to 10. This composition shows an improved storage stability of the enzyme, has a viscosity falling within such an appropriate range as ensuring ease of use, exhibits a powerful detergency and sustains a transparent appearance even after storage. |
