The respective first and second components, at least one of which is an active ingredient of a dose of a pharmaceutical product, are packaged into a dose package in a packaging machine by metering the volumes of the first and second components into the dose package, by weighing the metered volume of the first component on line between metering and packaging, and finally weighing the package and the components when packaged. By suitable processing of the weights the accuracy of the metering can be precisely determined and controlled.
