A vehicle masking cover (10) for protecting external areas of a vehicle from overspray during a refinishing process is disclosed. The cover includes a plurality of panel sections, at least one longitudinal panel section (30) and a plurality of flank panel sections (50, 70). Each panel section (20) being provided with a fastening means (96, 98) which detachably interconnects with the fastening means (96, 98) of an adjacent panel section (20) to form a sealed seam. The at least one longitudinal panel section (30) and the plurality of flank panel sections (50, 70) are interconnected by transverse fastening means. The flank panel sections (50, 70) are detachably connected to the or each longitudinal panel section (30) by longitudinal fastening means. Adjacent flank panel sections are detachably interconnected with one another by fastening means (96, 98) which extend upwardly towards the or each longitudinal panel section (30) but which are separated from the or each longitudinal panel section (30) by a spacing. The arrangement being such that in use a flank panel section (50, 70) may be folded back from the vehicle masking cover to expose an external area of the vehicle to be refinished, while the external area of the vehicle underneath the remaining interconnected flank panel section (30) or sections (20) of the vehicle masking cover (10) is protected from overspray. The folded panel section remaining attached to the vehicle masking cover at a portion of the folded panel section containing the spacing.
