Disclosed herein is a maleic acid salt of N-(5-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-2-[[4-[(dimethylamino)iminomethyl]benzoyl]amino]-5-methoxy-benzamide, pharmaceutical compositions comprising said compound which is useful in the treatment of undesired thrombosis such as actue coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, refractory angina, occlusive coronary thrombus occurring post-thrombolytic therapy or post-coronary angioplasty, a thrombotically mediated cerebrovascular syndrome etc.
