CRYSTALLINE FORMS OF THIAZOLIDINEDIONE DERIVATIVE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

Disclosed is a crystalline form of a hydrate of a dihydrochloride of 5-(4-{[6-(4-amino-3,5-dimethylphenoxy)-1-methyl-1-H-benzimidazol-2-yl]methoxy}benzyl)-1,3-thiazolidine-2,4-dione represented by the general formula (I), wherein the crystalline form shows main peaks at interplanar spacings of 7.06, 5.79, 5.43, 4.44, 4.18, 3.97, 3.91, 3.68, 3.61, 3.48, 3.24 and 2.97 angstroms in X-ray powder diffraction obtained with Cu K alpha line radiation (wavelength = 1.54 angstroms), or wherein the crystalline form shows main peaks at interplanar spacings of 10.42, 5.85, 5.52, 3.84, 3.46 and 2.95 angstroms in X-ray powder diffraction obtained with Cu K alpha line radiation (wavelength = 1.54 angstroms). A method for preparing the crystalline forms of the above mentioned compound is also disclosed. Also disclosed is the use of the above mentioned crystalline form for the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer or preventing diabetes.
