FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: piston containing the section of head and section of skirt; at that, piston has axial profile in plane of axial pressure. At that, axial profile, when piston has essentially working temperature, includes lower profile of skirt, intermediate profile of skirt, which is located near lower profile of skirt; at least, section of intermediate profile of skirt, which has concave bend in axial pressure plane. At that, intermediate profile of skirt has radii which are larger than those of upper profile of skirt, and upper profile of skirt, which is located near intermediate profile of skirt. In several versions of the design the piston has the shape which provides improved direction of piston.
