A method of manufacturing/installing a CV joint boot on a vehicle driveshaft by assembly of a mould directly on the driveshaft. The mould comprises a mould core (3) in two halves and a mould shell (2) in two halves, a bore being provided through the assembled mould's centre to accommodate the driveshaft, the mould also providing a cavity (1) with the shape of the required CV joint boot. Fluid rubber is injected into the cavity to provide, when cured, a CV joint boot located on the driveshaft. The mould is removed and can be used again.
