An attachment for a front-end loader for a farm tractor having an actuable tiltable load frame has a hoe type bucket with coupling means. The bucket is the width of the load frame. The assembly is made to be compatible with standardised loader couplings such as the "Quickfit" coupling. When in use, the bucket faces generally back towards the operator and its angle of tilt can be tilted around a pivot point at or near the end of the boom of the loader by a two-way hydraulic actuator, as required. The frontend loader itself provides bucket height control, the actuator provides bucket angle control, and movement of the entire tractor provides a scraping action, for shifting and placement of spoil. The means of attachment is stated to be reversible yet secure.
