<p>A medical device is provided with: a curving section which is curved by means of a wire which is pulled; a drive section which pulls and drives the wire; a detection section and a driving-force-amount detection section which respectively detect the amount of drive and the amount of driving force of the drive section; a memory section which previously stores the information relating to the correlation between the amount of drive and the amount of driving force of the drive section; a curvature-amount detection section which detects the amount of curvature of the curving section on the basis of the amount of drive, the amount of driving force, and the information in the memory section; a determination section which determines, on the basis of the result of detection by the driving-force-amount detection section, whether or not the wire is loose; and a correction section which, on the basis of the determination by the determination section, corrects the amount of drive effected by the drive section.</p> |
