PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor power conversion device that detects the status of a collector without externally providing an element for high voltage. SOLUTION: The semiconductor power conversion device 1 controls a gate input and converts power based on the status of a collector 2d of a power control element 2. The device includes: an input unit 2b that is formed by dividing the gate 2a of the power control element 2; a status detection unit 2c that is formed by dividing the gate 2a of the power control element 2; and a collector status detection means 3 that detects the status of the collector 2d using parasitic capacitance existing between the status detection unit 2c and collector 2d.
