<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variations or the like in sealing quality by uniformly wearing the periphery (wave-receiving portion) of a disklike anvil disposed so as to face an ultrasonic horn, despite a simple, inexpensive configuration, and to achieve a cost reduction by extending the life of the anvil. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic sealing device includes: the ultrasonic horn 4 connected to an ultrasonic oscillator 3; and a receiving base 7 disposed so as to face the leading end of the ultrasonic horn 4. The ultrasonic sealing device forms a seal by relatively moving the ultrasonic horn 4, the receiving base 7, and a sheet FX to be sealed. The leading end 70 of the receiving base 7 is formed substantially into the shape of a disk, which is freely rotated in the direction of movement. The mounting central axis X on the receiving base side, which passes through the rotation center 70B of the leading end 70, and the lengthwise central axis of the ultrasonic horn 4 are disposed so as to intersect each other at a predetermined angle.
