PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection apparatus capable of reducing a power loss due to a damping resistor and to provide a liquid ejecting printing apparatus. SOLUTION: When a signal from a drive waveform signal generation circuit 25 is subjected to pulse modulation in a modulation circuit 26, and the power of the pulse-modulated signal PWM is amplified in a digital power amplification circuit 28, and the power-amplified pulse-modulated signal APWM is smoothed by a smoothing filter 29 to obtain a drive signal COM, transfer characteristicsβof a compensator 32 are set so that frequency characteristics of a drive signal feedback closed loop, which comprises the modulation circuit 26, the digital power amplification circuit 28, the smoothing filter 29, the electrostatic capacitance of actuators to be driven and the compensator 32, become constant up to the predetermined attenuation starting frequency. As the result, since the resonance characteristics when the damping resistor is not used in the smoothing filter 29 can be compensated, the damping resistor is not required and the power loss can be reduced.
