An attractant for termites is prepared by solvent extracting wood, e.g. with water, which has been subjected to attack by wood-decaying fungi, e.g. white rots, soft rots or brown rots.ALSO:An attractant for termites comprises the solvent eg. water extract of wood which has been subjected to attack by wood-decaying fungi e.g. white rots, brown rots or soft rots. The extract may be mixed with a carrier and/or an insecticide e.g. DDT, aldrin, isodrin, dieldrin endrin, chlordane, parathion. "Malathion" (Registered Trade Mark) and heptachlor.
