The invention relates to colorless, magnetic polymer particles comprising a polymer, a white pigment, and a magnetic colloid. The dark brown or black color of the otherwise common magnetic polymer particles is concealed by the addition of the white pigments. Because of the white coloring of the particles, the particles can be used advantageously in combination with colored or fluorescent biomarkers.
