<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method including the step of conducting an indirect competitive binding assay on a microarray in order to identify a biological or chemical target and to screen a predetermined compound, and to provide a device for practicing the method. <P>SOLUTION: The microarray has a common ligand positioned at membrane-, lipid- or protein-binding active binding site. The method utilizes known or well-featured binding kinesiology and steric hindrance between a predetermined biological or chemical target and a universal reading unit with respect to different binding sites within the limited boundary of a microspot. The biological target, chemical substance or organic body can specifically bind to the target binding site, and the universal reading unit binds to a ligand in the microspot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
