PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator securing a cross-sectional area of flow of a ventilation passage, and allowing efficient cap mounting work even when the longitudinal width is short. SOLUTION: The ventilator includes a body formed of an extruded shape and having the ventilation passage serving for communication between the indoors and outdoors, and an opening/closing means for opening/closing the ventilation passage. Screw hole members 40 are fixed to both right and left ends of the body, and the ventilation passage is formed between a pair of screw hole members 40. Caps 30 are mounted to the body to cover screw hole members 40. The screw hole member 40 has a locking claw 46 at its side face, and the cap 30 has an elastic claw 37 extending in the longitudinal direction of the body. The cap 30 is pushed in to lock the elastic claw 37 to the locking claw 46 of the screw hole member 40. The cap 30 can thereby be mounted to the body without screw-fastening. A main screw that penetrates a stile passes through a through-hole 35 of the cap 30 and is screwed into the screw hole member 40 to fix the ventilator to the stile. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
