PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control device for an electric rotary tool having a clutch mechanism capable of performing the appropriate thread fastening drive control of the electric rotary tool regardless of the clutch operation of the clutch mechanism by detecting the rotation stop state of an output shaft of the electric rotary tool for connecting a driver bit with a required sensor and performing the drive stop control of an electric motor based on a detection signal of the sensor. SOLUTION: There is provided the electric rotary tool equipped with the clutch mechanism 16. A sensor sensing member 30 is provided at a part of the outer periphery of a rotation output shaft 18 of the electric rotary tool. Also, a sensor 32 for making the sensor sensing member detect rotating and stopping states is provided to face the sensor sensing member and at an outer-periphery portion thereof together with the rotating output shaft. In thread fastening work with the driver bit 20, there is also provided a control means 36 of detecting, by the sensor, the rotation stop state of the rotating output shaft accompanied by thread fastening completion and performing the drive stop control of the electric motor regardless of the clutch operation of the clutch mechanism.
