PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that debris (scattered foreign matter) is possibly generated before setting a filter by the filter abutting on a constriction part when the filter passes through the constriction part from an upstream side to a downstream side inside a blood vessel, and that it is hard to use the catheter when the constriction part hinders the passage of the filter. SOLUTION: A thrombus capturing catheter includes a sheath part having a lumen penetrating from a proximal end portion to a distal end portion and a filter part which is located at the distal end portion of the sheath part, is cylindrical, and has the inner circumferential surface having a diameter expanded in a tapered form from the proximal end portion side to the distal end portion side, is super elastic, and has the sheath part and the filter part which are formed integrally.
