HOT-PRESS FORMED COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive hot-press formed component having not only the desired high strength and dimensional accuracy, but also a plating film of the sufficient deposit to a requested part by the hot-press forming with a Zn-based plated steel sheet as a raw material. SOLUTION: A Zn-based plated steel sheet 1 is heated so that the temperature of a first portion 2 in the steel sheet 1 is ≤500°C, and the temperature of a second portion 3 is equal to or higher than the A1transformation point of the raw steel sheet of the Zn-based plated steel sheet 1 and ≤1,100°C. When the temperature of the second portion 3 is equal to or higher than the A1transformation point of the raw steel sheet, the press-forming of the Zn-based plated steel sheet 1 is started. A hot-press formed component 5 is manufactured by cooling the Zn-based plate steel sheet 1 at the cooling rate equal to or higher than the critical cooling rate during or after completing the press forming.
