A draught excluder or sealing strip comprises a carrier 1, e.g. a plurality of spaced individual clips or a continuous straddle clip 1 covered with a fabric or moulded covering 2 and a resilient sponge-rubber tubular sealing section 3 stitched at 4 within the tube, to the covering 2, the stitching being thus hidden from view the tubular sealing section, being split at 10 to allow for the stitching operation, and afterwards secured together. Lip 12 integral with, the covering 2 overrides the adjacent part of the sealing section 3, and a web 11 integral with section 3 formed with a rounded extremity is intended to make sealing engagement with the flange supporting the straddle clips. In an alternative construction only one edge of the covering is turned upwardly to cover one leg of the clips and the sealing section 3 is formed with a similar inwardly and upwardly turned part to cover the other leg of the clip. |
