The circuit has a regulated direct current/direct current converter (100) including a control terminal for adjusting a supply potential (ULED+) on supply outputs (14, 103). A consumer load i.e. lamp, is switched between the outputs and re-circulating inputs (15a-15n). A linear driver circuit arrangement controls the load, and an input side of the arrangement is connected to the re-circulating inputs and an output side is connected to a supply connection (20). A regulating output (134) is coupled with the terminal for adjusting the potential for generating constant current through the load. An independent claim is also included for a system arrangement comprising a power supply device.
