<p>Cutting device (6), method and use for cutting of a line (10) extending from a floating vessel (2), wherein the cutting de-vice (6) is structured for placement on the vessel (2). The distinctive characteristic of the cutting device (6) is that it comprises: - at least one guide (26a, 26b) structured for directional steering of the line (10) past a cutting area (28) for the line (10); and - at least one of the following cutting-promoting devices: - at least one induction coil device (32a, 32b) directed inwards toward the cutting area (28) and structured for heating, hence weakening, of the line (10) within the cutting area (28); and - at least one moveable cutting knife (38a, 38b) with an opposite contact surface directed inwards toward the cutting area (28) and also structured for cutting of the line (10) within the cutting area (28).</p> |
