PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical parking system capable of preventing the loading/unloading of an automobile and a driver's walk from being hindered by a cable for suspending a parking pallet. SOLUTION: This mechanical parking system 1 includes: the parking pallet 4, the center of which has a parking area 2 for placing the automobile and in which a passage 3 for allowing the driver to get into/out of the automobile is provided on one-end sides on both right and left sides; a supporting frame 5 which is separately arranged above the parking pallet 4; a first cable 6 which is connected to both the right and left sides on the one-end side of the parking pallet 4; a second cable 7 which is connected to both the right and left sides on the other-end side of the parking pallet 4; and a winding device 8 which is provided on the other-end side of the supporting frame 5 and which winds up the first and second cables 6 and 7. The mechanical parking system 1 also comprises a guide 9 which is provided in the supporting frame 5 in such a manner as to be movable the one-end or other-end direction and which guides the first cable 6 from the parking pallet 4 to the winding device 8, and a drive portion 10 which is provided in the supporting frame 5 and which moves the guide 9 to the other-end side when the driver gets into/out of the automobile, so that the first cable 6 elongated downward from the guide 9 can recede from the top of the passage 3.
