PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower structure of a pillar capable of suppressing falling down of the pillar inward due to a side impact. SOLUTION: The lower structure of the pillar includes: the pillar that extends to the vertical direction of a vehicle; a locker 2 which extends in the front-back direction of the vehicle on each side of the width direction of the vehicle, and is united with a lower part of the pillar; and a cross member 3 that extends in the width direction of the vehicle. A recessed or protruded rail 13 is provided at a top surface of the cross member 3, which guides the locker 2 to the cross member 3 side for a side impact to suppress falling down of the pillar inward while more strength is secured by a corner part of the rail 13.
