PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat regeneration system capable of improving the fuel efficiency of an engine by quickly raising the temperature of a cooling fluid when the temperature of the cooling fluid of the engine is low. SOLUTION: In the Rankine cycle 110 of this waste heat regeneration system 100, a working fluid in circuits is heated by a cooling fluid boiler 112 and an exhaust gas boiler 113 utilizing the waste heat of the engine 140, the heated working fluid is expanded by an expander 114 to recover the mechanical energy, and after the expansion, the expanded working fluid is condensed by a condenser 115. The waste heat regeneration system 100 includes a first bypass flow passage 117 allowing the upstream side and the downstream side of the condenser 115 to communicate with each other and a first opening/closing valve 118 for the first bypass flow passage 117. When the temperature of the cooling fluid of the engine 140 is less than a first predetermined value Th1, a control unit 150 controls the first opening/closing valve 118 to open the first bypass flow passage 117 so as to allow the circulation of the working fluid to the bypass flow passage 117.
