Provided is a contact lens of double thin type ensuring a good wearing sensation, enabling improvement of oxygen permeability and tear exchangeability, and having a novel structure. An optical part (28) free of bias of the center of gravity due to a prism is formed. A pair of thin parts (38a, 38b) extending circumferentially and having a fixed thickness dimension are formed on both upper and lower sides of the peripheral part (16), and a pair of thick parts (40a, 40b) extending circumferentially and having a thickness dimension greater than that of the thin parts (38a, 38b) are formed on both left and right sides. One or more recess parts (46, 46) are formed in symmetrical positions in the lateral direction in a worn state in the lens back surface (20) of each of the thick parts (40a, 40b). The minimum thickness dimension of the region where the recess part/parts (46) is/are formed is greater than the thickness dimension of the thin parts (38a, 38b).
