<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the oral cavity having sialogogic actions without a limitation on seasoning because of no specific irritation, tasting and flavoring. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for the oral cavity including 2-methylbutyric acid or/and acetic acid promotes secretion of saliva after completing chewing even when the content of the 2-methylbutyric acid or/and acetic acid is an ultra-trace amount so as not to feel the tasting.
