The method involves providing a nail (2) with a cylindrical flat head and a nail shank (2b) that includes a surface profile structure (5). The cylindrical flat head is designed as a nail head (2a) that includes a cone-shaped taking-off recess (6) e.g. cross-slot, on an upper side of the nail head. Extended bolts (7) are inserted in the taking-off recess and force-fittingly connected with the nail head. The extended bolts are gripped by a pulling device (8), and a pulling movement is performed by the pulling device up to an extension of the nail. An independent claim is also included for a nail for performing a method for dismantling a nail connection between two component parts.
