<p>The present invention discloses a method and data communication equipment for selecting a clock source, and the method is used for the communication between data communication equipment (DCE) and data terminal equipment (DTE), wherein the DCE performs clock switching for the transmission clock and/or the receiving clock in the case that the DCE can not communicate with the DTE normally.
