<p>A method and a system for acquiring capability supporting to voice services over adaptive multi-user channels on one slot (VAMOS) of a mobile terminal. A mobile terminal informs a base station sub-system of capability information supporting to technology of voice services over adaptive multi-user channels on one slot (VAMOS) by itself; the base station sub-system acquires the capability information supporting to VAMOS technology of the mobile terminal according to the acquired support capability information. By using the method of the invention, the state of the mobile terminal for supporting technology of voice services over adaptive multi-user channels on one slot is acquired by the base station sub-system according to the support capability information reported by the mobile terminal, and the base station sub-system can distinguish whether VAMOS technology is supported by the mobile terminal, thereby VAMOS technology is reasonably used, thus support to capacity of voice user by an entire GSM network is improved without increasing frequency resources after VAMOS technology is used by the GSM network.</p> |
