<p>The present invention represents an analytical system for determining components which exhibit circular dichroism in liquids, gels and films, said system comprising, arranged in series and optically connected to one another: a source of broadband light radiation, which comprises a xenon lamp providing an extended wavelength range in the UV radiation region and having an increased UV radiation output; a selector on the basis of a modified Czerny-Turner monochromator with Fastie coma compensation, said selector comprising a stepper motor for driving the revolution of a diffraction grating with a microcontroller for controlling said motor; a spectral filter for absorbing radiation of second-order reflection of the selector diffraction grating; a polarizer; a polarization modulator; a spectral slit; a device for accommodating a sample, which comprises the liquid under analysis in contact with a biosensor, in an optically transmissive cuvette that can be arranged in a horizontal position in such a way as to be capable of a two-coordinate movement in the horizontal plane; a photomultiplier; a digital recording system; and a means for processing the electrical signal produced and calculating the concentration of a biologically active substance. The system can have a modular design, and the functioning of the system can be controlled by means of a built-in or external computer via module microcontrollers. The system is designed to be housed in a portable casing.</p> |
