PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of achieving improvement in accuracy in prediction of the life of an electrostatic latent image-holding means. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a computing means (correction factor-computing part 201) computing a correction factor to be used for prediction of a film thickness wear amount of each electrostatic latent image-holding means (photoreceptor drum 11) on the basis of DC voltage applied to a DC electrifying means (electrifier 21) through a voltage supply means (power supply device 200); a prediction means (film thickness wear amount prediction part 202) predicting the film thickness wear amount of each electrostatic latent image-holding means on the basis of the computed correction factor; a calculation means (remaining film thickness calculation part 203) calculating remaining film thickness on the basis of the predicted film thickness wear amount of each electrostatic latent image-holding means; and a determination means (photoreceptor life determination part 204) determining the life of each electrostatic latent image-holding means on the basis of a result of calculation.
