<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for making compatible the improvement of image deterioration in the case of converting a resolution and the improvement of gradation reproducibility by dynamicγ-processing. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor is used which is provided with: a gradation histogram calculation part for creating gradation histogram based on an input image; a contrast detection part for calculating the degree of a contrast level showing the scale of the contrast of the input image; a resolution conversion part for performing resolution conversion processing for enlarging or reducing the input image, and calculating the degree of deterioration improvement showing the scale of the necessity of the improvement of the deterioration of an image caused by resolution conversion; a gradation correction curve calculation part for calculating a gradation correction curve where input gradation is associated with output gradation based on the gradation histogram and the degree of the contrast level and the degree of deterioration improvement; and a gradation correction part for performing gradation correction to an image outputted from the resolution conversion part according to the calculated gradation correction curve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
