ROAD TRAFFIC CONDITION PREDICTING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREOF

A road traffic condition predicting method and a device thereof relate to an intelligent traffic system application field. The road traffic condition predicting method includes: calculating the average vehicle speed on a road statistically according to the of the history data of the road traffic condition, characteristic days in a week, roads and time windows (101); recognizing traffic jam time windows according to the average vehicle speed on the road(102) and traffic jam level; screening out adjacent traffic jam time windows from the traffic jam time windows and uniting the adjacent traffic jam time windows to form traffic jam time bands(103); outputting the traffic jam time bands to the traffic service system (104). The method and device are suitable for intelligent traffic field, such as ATIS etc.
