The method involves receiving information (141, 142) about steering movement of a vehicle over an interface, and receiving surrounding information (144-146) over another interface, where the surrounding information provides prediction about occurrence of a transverse movement of the vehicle. The transverse movement is caused by disturbance that acts externally at the vehicle, and the information about the steering movement and the surrounding information are evaluated for determining whether the information about the steering movement indicates fatigue of a driver. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for detecting fatigue of a driver of a vehicle during driving (2) a computer program product with a program code for executing a method for detecting fatigue of a driver of a vehicle during driving.
