摘要 <p>The method involves measuring an absolute frequency of an output signal using an impulse counter during a predetermined time interval, and determining positional change using a quadrate decoder based on the signal, while difference is formed between the beginning and ending of the time interval. Increment and decrement of a signal generator (10) i.e. incremental rotary encoder, is calculated from the absolute and position based frequencies based on the time interval. A motion state of the generator is determined based on the increment and decrement of the movement of the generator.</p>
