The system has an air-conditioning compressor (K) adjusting predetermined evaporator-target temperature. A controller influences operation of the system depending on operating condition of an internal-combustion engine of a motor vehicle. The controller is designed such that the compressor is controlled with a predetermined compressor stroke (h) in a thrust phase of the engine when actual speed (v) of the vehicle is lesser than a predetermined speed limit value.
