PURPOSE: A navigation method and apparatus of a mobile terminal are provided to allow a driver to quickly return to a set path when deviating from the set path to a position where no roads exist on a map by requesting and receiving only information for entering the set path. CONSTITUTION: A navigation apparatus of a mobile terminal comprises a storage unit(404) which stores first map data, a display unit(405) which displays a path from the current position to the destination of a vehicle based on the first map data, and a control unit(407) which receives second map data for entering the set path when the vehicle deviates from the path and displays the second map data on the display unit.
