<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active tie rod system, enabling shock-free holding and release of space appendages. <P>SOLUTION: This active tie rod system holds space appendages GS. The active tie rod system includes: a fixed base 4; an active tie rod 10 screwed into the fixed base 4; storage type release mechanisms 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b for the tie rod 10 adapted to hold the tie rod 10 at a predetermined position in the stored position; and a nut 3 for applying tension to an assembly. The tie rod 10 includes an internal heater 13, and the tie rod is at least partly formed of material A1 with a large coefficient of thermal expansion to enable expansion of the active tie rod 10 storing the storage type release mechanisms 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b for the tie rod 10 under the operation of the internal heater 13 so that the space appendages GS can be released without shock. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
