COLORING COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER, AND COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is difficult to stably disperse a zinc phthalocyanine halide pigment while maintaining its excellent color characteristics only by using a dispersant which is suited for a conventional copper phthalocyanine halide pigment or any other pigment for the zinc phthalocyanine halide pigment, because it is well known that the zinc phthalocyanine halide pigment is a pigment which is difficult to be dispersed, as chemical properties of the zinc phthalocyanine halide pigment is different from those of the conventional copper phthalocyanine halide pigment.

SOLUTION: A coloring composition for a color filter includes a metal salt of a quinoline derivative as the dispersant.
