<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimension (3D) video decoding apparatus and method, which creates a suitable video at least in one of an error occurring time and a special reproduction time. <P>SOLUTION: The 3D video decoding apparatus 100 includes: a decoding unit 103 which creates a decoding signal for a left eye 113L and a decoding signal for a right eye 113R by decoding a coded signal for the left eye 112L and a coded signal for the right eye 112R; an error discrimination unit 104 which discriminates an error of the coded signal for the left eye 112L and the coded signal for the right eye 112R; an output discrimination unit 105 which determines whether an error data amount of a signal which generates an error, is equal to or over than a first threshold value when either one out of the coded signal for the left eye 112L and the coded signal for the right eye 112R, generates the error; and an output unit 106 which does not output both the decoding signal for the left eye 113L and the decoding signal for the right eye 113R when the error data amount is less than the first threshold value, and outputs only the decoding signal which is decoded the other signal when the error data amount is equal to or more than the first threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
