<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell structure parallax-barrier wherein a barrier can be vertically/horizontally converted, and thus the reduction of the luminance of the light passed through the barrier is minimized, and to provide a three-dimensional image display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image display apparatus includes: a display module for providing three-dimensional image contents; and the parallax-barrier for forming a horizontal or vertical barrier pattern, wherein the parallax-barrier includes: a liquid-crystal layer 40a including pixels arranged in cell structure matrix to form the barrier pattern; and a controller 40b for controlling the pixels of the LC layer 40a in order to form the barrier pattern by turning on or off the pixels selectively. The cell structure matrix has first and second cell columns, which are different from each other. The first and second cell columns are arranged in alternately repeated manner along the vertical direction.
