PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair treating agent which can exhibit the effect of an amino-modified silicone to make the hair surface smooth, can inhibit the harmful effects caused by excess buildup of the amino-modified silicone on the hair even when continuously applied to the hair over a plurality of times, and can continuously exhibit excellent conditioning effect of the amino-modified silicone compound even when continuously applied to the hair. SOLUTION: The hair treating agent contains a silylated peptide-silane compound copolymer composition and an amino-modified silicone, and the content of the silylated peptide-silane compound copolymer is 0.01-5 mass% and the content of the amino-modified silicone is 0.01-10 mass%.
