PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for electrolytic capacitor which has high electric conductivity and a high sparkling voltage and is excellent in long-term stability, and to provide an electrolytic capacitor using the electrolyte for electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing electrically conductive polymer and dispersion liquid of the same, in which ruthenium or a ruthenium compound is used as a catalyst and hydrogen peroxide is used as an oxidant, for producing a polyaniline as electrically conductive polymer and the dispersion liquid of the polyaniline, thereby an impurity ion during production can be reduced to obtain an electrically conductive polymer which is excellent in electric conductivity and dispersibility and has a high yield.
